Mitchell Kehe is a self taught artist living in Brooklyn, NY. Before moving to New York he lived and worked in Boston, MA.
He has been exhibiting in the Boston area since 2006. Most recently completing an installation for a four person show at The Distillery Gallery in South Boston titled "Grew Up a Screw Up."
Mitchell works mostly in acrylic and gouache on various surfaces including fabric, paper, and wood. He also creates wooden dolls and other sculpture. When exhibiting he likes to create an environment around the works being shown to give a better representation and feeling of the work.
He finds inspiration in human behavior and family dynamic. Other influences come from film, music and childhood.
